Target Go International: Jovovich-Hawk

So the next Target Go International Designer will feature actress/ clothing designer Milla Jovovich's line, Jovovich-Hawk. I went to the brand's site to take a look at the line up.

Hummm, overall I was underwhelmed. First thought that came to mind once I saw the images was 70's dixie chick, not my flavor. But there were two sheer polka-dot items that caught eye.

Target GO International will be carrying a lower-priced capsule line of Jovovich-Hawk starting March 2, 2008. Milla: "Our Target line will have all our classic pieces: smock dresses, tunics, minis, all vintage-inspired, great prints. We took the things that sold the best for us but we're doing it on a bigger scale. To be able to do it with a big company that can afford to do it for a good price so that real girls can afford it. Looking forward to: HM Spring 2008

H&M just recently reveled a sneak preview of there new 2008 spring line up that will be hitting all stores this Valentine's day, 2/14/08. H&M often gets a lot of slack because many feel there clothes are poorly made etc. but say what you want, H&M never disappoints in providing a reasonably priced alternative to what's new and fresh in fashion. They've brought the urban trendy to the masses giving everyone the opportunity to certify there "fresh" in there own unique way. Much respect.

So here are my favorite looks from the preview line up they provided...



I love the versatility and pale colors of these coats, perfect for both casual and dressy.

I want those sun glasses AND the shirt ! Fiyah

Another pair of sun glasses I will definitely be looking out for. And the color of those dresses, love it! Paired with a funky belt, you can't go wrong.

Safari and Tie-dye, two Spring 08' looks paired together nicely.

This sweater dress is real simple and can be changed into so many different looks.

And lastly, H&M's top 5 shoes that you can expect to see in there retail outlets. I suspect the black wedges and grey pumps will go quick fast.

So a multitude of celebs have been seen wearing the bandage Herve Leger dress...


With a sticker price of $1050.00 + this is quite a pricey item for the regular folk, like me!

But luckily if your into this look, Express is selling a VERY similar version in there retail outlets.

H&M- "Fashion Against Aids"

Ahh, there's nothing better than a hot reasonably priced item that's worth a cause...

H&M and Designers Against AIDS are joining forces in the battle against AIDS. Available in select H&M stores beginning January 31st, the collection features t-shirts and hoodies designed by Rihanna, Timbaland and other well-known designers, musicians and artists. Zara International Sale!

This post is extremely over due as the Zara extravaganza sale has been going on for some time now. If you have haven't had the opportunity to visit Zara you should do so ASAP. This Spain based High-style/ reasonable cost shop RARELY has sales and when they finally do, it isn't something to miss. Many of the items are on average 30 -70% off original prices!

I went yesterday; it was PACKED and I felt like I was in there for hours! Just when I was about to head to the checkout line with my findings (pair of shoes and a shirt for 9 bucks), I saw this cute dress hanging randomly on some pants and other clothes. ANNDD it was only 20bucks! As I eagerly grabbed the dress, a few of the other random items fell on the floor so I picked them up. So this randomly lady thanks me for picking them up as she was trying a her coat. It wasn't until then that I realized, I snatched the lady's dress she placed to the side to try on her coat! I frantically ran to the check out line hoping she wouldn't notice. Ahhheeee, I couldn't let the dress go. Its mean i know.

Style Resolution: Comfortable Corporate Swag

Happy 2008! Everyone…I hope that you all have decided to start fresh and new in some way, shape or form.

I for one have decided to up my work dress game a little bit.

I dream of the “Devil wears Prada” styled work attire on a daily basis…ahhh

Not that I’m not up to par already but I could definitely use some improvement. With me working in the city there are too many hot and popping after work event’s for me not to be prepared. I’m sure many of you like me, like to be completely comfortable while at work. That’s exactly my thought process when I wake up most mornings. I normally nix the idea of wearing any heels cause by lunch time the soles of my feet are usually in pain so I wear flats or very low heels. And because I savor every last millisecond of sleep possible I can get in the morning, it leaves me with no time to actually “think” an outfit together. No more!

And doesn’t it seem like the day you decide to wear the “I don’t give a damn today” outfit, you run into Er’body and there mama? As they probably think you ran into hard times or something, lol. But I digress.

So, I will no longer refuse a last minute fly “freakum dress” after work event because I decided to wear flats, a thick linty sweater and slacks on that day. From now on I will be prepared.

Style Review: The Chase Vintage Show

Yesterday, I attended the Chase Vintage Show at the Chelsea Loft in NYC. The shopping event featured a variety of Vintage boutiques from all over the New York Tri -state area.





The venue was perfect and the free drinks were popping! Alot of great boutiques like, Seasoned to Perfection, World of Style Vintage and Hamlet's Vintage Outlet, showcased many of there hot items.

I found two great cocktail rings and a great pair of earrings all at 5 bucks a piece...nice.

The attendance was pretty low, but with featured items like Chanel and Gucci bags, I think it's only a matter of time before word catches on.

A great movement is taking place. Designers/businesses are taking notice to the real economic needs of consumers today realizing everyone can't afford those high priced luxury duds.

A la, Vera Wang who recently introduced her new line, Simply Vera, at Kohl's. I took a quick look the other day to see what she has to offer.

The Good: Many of her items are 20%-40% off (for a limited time)
The Bad: Overall I was under whelmed, designs seems geared towards the 30+ working woman with a slight matronly feel.
