Item of the Day

I'm usually not an Old Navy shopper, but while heading to the train station the other day I stopped by Old Navy and saw these...

I love the wedge and burnt red material on these. And at $34.50, how can you pass it up??

Shop Old Navy to see the shoe in other colors!

Target Go International: Jovovich-Hawk

So the next Target Go International Designer will feature actress/ clothing designer Milla Jovovich's line, Jovovich-Hawk. I went to the brand's site to take a look at the line up.

Hummm, overall I was underwhelmed. First thought that came to mind once I saw the images was 70's dixie chick, not my flavor. But there were two sheer polka-dot items that caught eye.

Check out he excerpt on the new line below...

Target GO International will be carrying a lower-priced capsule line of Jovovich-Hawk starting March 2, 2008. Milla: "Our Target line will have all our classic pieces: smock dresses, tunics, minis, all vintage-inspired, great prints. We took the things that sold the best for us but we're doing it on a bigger scale. To be able to do it with a big company that can afford to do it for a good price so that real girls can afford it. That's the reason we were interested." (article from L.A. Times, includes a photo-gallery of Milla and others wearing Jovovich-Hawk)

Looking Forward to: Transparency Trend for Spring 2008

It's Sheerly Sexy

With all these hot looks for Spring 2008 I just can't wait for Winter to end. Jot down transparency and organza as another find on your to-do-list. Designers from the likes of Prada, Sport Max and Diane Von Furstenberg have all been incorporating the looks in the Spring 2008 line up.

I'm twittling my thumbs in anticipation for the Bebe Organza trench that will be hitting stores real soon

Hotness! I just hope it doesn't cost a grip.

I'll also be on the hunt for sheer items like these...

Stay tuned!

Fab Flats - Sam Edelman

The Sam Edelman line is known to incorporate funky, electic styles not for the conseravative at heart. Alot of his shoes have the perfect blend of city swag sex appeal. You know what I mean, the funky fresh unique look thats not over the top.

Also known as the "Sam" in Sam & Libby shoe brand, think of the Sam Edelman line as the youthful, stylish "hot and popping" younger sister that Sam & Libby yearned to be.

But I digress, let's get to his flats. For those who need a break from sitelleto's or with the short BF (not that it matters, right) take a look below. Uniquely fresh and defined, here's are some hot flat's just in time for spring...

Looking forward to: HM Spring 2008

H&M just recently reveled a sneak preview of there new 2008 spring line up that will be hitting all stores this Valentine's day, 2/14/08. H&M often gets a lot of slack because many feel there clothes are poorly made etc. but say what you want, H&M never disappoints in providing a reasonably priced alternative to what's new and fresh in fashion. They've brought the urban trendy to the masses giving everyone the opportunity to certify there "fresh" in there own unique way. Much respect.

So here are my favorite looks from the preview line up they provided...

I love the versatility and pale colors of these coats, perfect for both casual and dressy.

I want those sun glasses AND the shirt ! Fiyah

Another pair of sun glasses I will definitely be looking out for. And the color of those dresses, love it! Paired with a funky belt, you can't go wrong.

Safari and Tie-dye, two Spring 08' looks paired together nicely.

This sweater dress is real simple and can be changed into so many different looks.

And lastly, H&M's top 5 shoes that you can expect to see in there retail outlets. I suspect the black wedges and grey pumps will go quick fast.

Again, get all these items at your local H&M store beginning this Thursday!

Spring 2008: Gladiator Sandal

From Balenciaga to Givenchy the gladiator sandal has been in many magazines and runways as a Spring 08' staple. I'd however prefer to steer away from the calf strapping look and would perfer a more normal wear for off the runway.

For the gladiator look with some height, try these Nine West looks:

The shoe on the left is a direct Balengica replica and goes for $92.95. Shop Zappos for more details. The shoe on the right is the perfect mix of sexy and gritty, $89.00 shop Nine West.

I'm loving the Gladiator look in metallic...
From left to right:

Dolce Vita shoe $ 135. 00 Shop Bop
Dolce Vita at Pink Mascara, $97.00
Metallic Leather Gladiator Sandal $39.00, shop Spiegel

And my FAV out the bunch...
The Nine West Gladiator Sandal $ 80.00 shop Piperlime

And for those who look to play it safe with the neutral colors try...

Dolce Vita Gladiator Sandal $68.00 Shop Madison Los Angeles
Old Navy Sandal $19.50 shop Old Navy

Black Style: Celebrate Black Designers

In honor of Black History month, here's a quick post featuring great designer, Patrick Robinson.

Most recently known for creating his own Go International line for Target this past April 07'. Patrick is now the Head Designer GAP. I hope he has plans on revitalizing Gap, the brand has dulled out over the years. We need less of the mundane and more style from Gap.

Go to Gap.com to see Patrick's tips on layering!

Nice to see a brother doing his thang!
